SAT is a paper based comprehensive and standardized test which is required to be taken according to the institute’s policy for taking admission in the college. It is an acronym of Scholastic Aptitude Test and is recognized globally; however it is mainly offered and used in the United States of America. College Board, which is a nonprofit organization working in the United States, mainly owns and publishes this SAT based admission tests on the behalf of Educational Testing Service. The purpose of SAT is to identify and assess the student’s academic knowledge which is necessary and pre requisite to take admission in the college.
Hence, like ACT, SAT is also a test which assess that, whether the particular student giving the SAT test is ready to precede higher education and is ready to go the college. The SAT admission test is currently offered and accepted globally. The test comprises of multiple choice questions and its duration is three hours and forty five minutes. This paper based standardized test assess student’s knowledge in the domains of mathematics, critical reading and writing. The passing criterion is defined on the scale of 200-800 for each section.
